The deal is about to be sealed, it would be a record swap between Manchester United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Arsenal FC’s Alexis Sanchez.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed the swap deal with United involving his striker Alexis Sanchez and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

According to the Arsenal boss, Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United is probably going to happen in the next 24 hours, this would see the United winger at Arsenal.

When asked on the wages of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Arsenal top man said that issue will not be a problem in the swap deal; he claims that this player is the perfect replacement for Sanchez whose contract in Arsenal would end in the summer.

He was quite boastful when he said that he has worked on transfers for 30 years and with experience this deal is bound to happen, although anything is possible.

He further said that Mkhitaryan was fully aware and involved in the deal and his salary would not be a problem.

Arsene Wenger says he really likes the player and would really want him to be in the club and his game play is always superb although he doesn’t have much play time at the United’s team.

He also said that they have played against the player while he was at Dortmund and they have seen his game play and appreciate the quality of the games and he would be a good addition to the club side.

This would be an exchange of players and I think one would replace the other. Are we still on the transfer market after that? Yes.

Mourinho is willing to offer Alexis Sanchez more than £350,000 per week.

Arsene Wenger said that he couldn’t pay that amount of money to the Chilean and he respects Man Utd because they generate the money they pay to the players with their own resources so you have to respect that.

He’s 29 years old so the next contract will be, of course, very important for him.

When asked on why he didn’t take Sanchez along for the Bournemouth match, he had this to say

When I left him out at Bournemouth it’s because I was scared that we sit at Bournemouth on Saturday night and the transfer happened,” he said.

It was already quite advanced so I didn’t want to be in a position where I travel with him and he has to go back and doesn’t play.
