Complete guide for NYSC PCM’s 2019/2020

Hello my padi, we bring to your notice the important things you ought to know as you go to camp. This post contains the basic preparation all PCM’s must undergo and also the complete guidelines of things to go to camp with.

Prospective Corp Members (PCM’s)- BASIC PREPARATION FOR PCM’s

• The first thing is to prepare your mind

In order for you to be prepared to undergo the journey you must be mentally prepared because you would be leaving behind most of the comfort and things you are used to (things like your family, friends, programs and businesses) and would be forced to live in conditions you are not used too. This can be quite challenging and not many can withstand this mental pressure.

The truth is that camp is stressful, this is in order for you to be able to withstand some (if not all) challenges of life especially outside camp. It is not going to be easy that is why it is called camp exercise and not home relaxation.

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS YOU MUST GO TO CAMP WITH

• Original statement of Result and 5 photocopies
• Original School ID Card and 5 photocopies
• Passport photographs (at least10 pieces)
• Original Call-Up Letter

IMPORTANT CLOTHING AND ITEMS YOU MUST GO TO CAMP WITH

• Go with two (2) or three (3) white T-shirts and shorts (NOTE- it is good you go with this although you will be given two sets but it may not be enough or possibly not your size).
• Go with two (2) or more pairs of socks and a white rubber tennis shoes or canvass.
• Go with bathroom slippers and antiseptic.
• You need a plastic bucket this can be gotten in camp and you would also need a marker write your name on it.
• Go with your toiletries, as many as u can.
• Go with bed-sheet, towel and some casual wear.
• You need a Waist bag (for your phones, ID Cards, Handkerchief, biro, etc).
• Torch light for night movements
• You need small cooler, a cup and a spoon for collecting your food (forks are not allowed on camp).
• For the girls you know the things you need, so bring them along.

Padi don’t forget to go with money o. You would need to have some cash on you. Borrowing or begging or stealing is not allowed on camp.

You are going to be surrounded by people from various backgrounds, do well to guard your cash and belongings properly.
