The big question on everyone’s lip is “will Cristiano Ronaldo be banned from playing for Juventus at the champions league quarter-final against Ajax?

Well, prepare to be amazed. After the huge defeat of Atletico Madrid by Juventus (a match where Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick) the behavior of the world class player raised a lot of concerns and it is assumed that such behavior may lead to the player missing the next stage.

The victory against Atletico Madrid could largely be credited to Cristiano Ronaldo with the amazing goals which qualified his team to compete in the quarter finals.

Juventus would face Ajax following Friday’s draw in Nyon with a likely chance of facing Manchester City or Tottenham if they come out victorious.

Despite all this great news, Ronaldo may  miss out on at least one of the remaining eight games due to the possibility of suspension.

So what could be the possible cause of this suspension?

After the victory against Atletico, Ronaldo was so excited that in the course of celebrating he made a controversial gesture with his hands towards his groin.

It is also alleged that he called Atletico fans “sons of bit*hes

Now that the reason for the possible suspension has been highlighted, the next question is will Cristiano Ronaldo be banned?

On March 18, UEFA confirmed that a disciplinary investigation had been opened into the incident, with a hearing date set for March 21. The super star is likely to be charged with “improper conduct”.

It has not yet been decided if the player would receive a ban for his actions, there is more likelihood of him paying a fine than facing suspension.

The usual fine set by UEFA is about €20,000 (£17k/$23k) but Ronaldo may pay up to  €100,000. If it is confirmed that the Juventus attacker insulted fans of Atletico Madrid, he would likely face a suspension.

Allegri (Juventus boss) is of the opinion that Ronaldo would not be banned as it was just a mere celebration..
