The European football league has past the mid-way point for this season and we decided to take a tally of all the top scorers across the major leagues and possibly who will be this season’s Golden Shoe winner.
The European Golden Shoe was awarded to Barcelona top player, Lionel Messi last season after scoring 34 goals and it seems the player would be defending his title this season.

Lionel Messi (Barcelona)- 29 goals
Messi has scored 29 goals this league season. It is quite clear that he would be the top goal scorer in Spain this season as his main rival Ronaldo chose to continue his football career at Juventus.
Kylian Mbappe (PSG)- 26 goals
The young man who won the World Cup with the France team had a great start in league one, he made history after scoring four goals in 13 minutes against Lyon last year October. He also scored a hat-trick against Guingamp in January, 2019.
