774000 SPW Job Latest Update 2020 – The Hon. Minister of State, Labour & Employment, Festus Keyamo has given out letters of engagement to six banks, namely Zenith, UBA, Access, Fidelity, FCMB & Heritage to begin the opening of accounts (with BVN) for the 774,000 participants of the Special Public Works Programme in their branches in the 774 LGAs across the country.
Approved Banks for SPW 774000 Beneficiaries
- Zenith Bank
- United Bank of Africa (UBA)
- Access Bank
- Fidelity Bank
- First City Monument Bank (FCMB)
- Heritage Bank
The above listed banks have started opening accounts for beneficiaries using their BVN.
Special Public Works Recruitment Update
The Special Public Works (SPW) is an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).The Federal Government is employing 1000 people in each of the 774 local governments in Nigeria.
The banks gave the assurance that even in LGAs where they don’t have branches, temporary registration centers would be opened in such LGAs so that the participants would not have to travel far to open their accounts.
The Info Padi Team will soon publish which bank is taking care of each of the LGAs in Nigeria.

When will the 774000 SPW start work?
The 774000 Special public workers recruited 1000 persons across the 774 LGAs in Nigeria and the beneficiaries will commence work in October, 2020.
