It is a well-known fact that majority of the universities in Nigeria do not accept second choice candidates. JAMB stopped the selection of 2 public higher institutions as both first and second choice because they were fully aware that most of the universities do not accept second choice candidates who applied for admission into the school.
In recent times, while filling JAMB form online candidates are able to select two universities as either their First or Second choice. This simply means that candidates can select a State University as well as a Federal University as their preferred choice during the registration.
