How to verify your voter’s registration 2018- Check new platform created by INEC here

As election draws near, we will like to encourage all our readers to go and get their permanent voters card if they are yet to get it. We will also like to guide you on steps to know that your registration was properly done, so as not to be disenfranchised on election day.

It is your constitutional right as a Nigerian to vote and be voted for in any election, a lot of persons are denied this right due to several reasons, the good news is that all this are about to be changed.

We will like to inform you that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recently created a new portal for citizens of Nigeria to confirm their voter’s registration and also collection of PVCs.

PVC MEANS PERMANENT VOTER CARD

The aim of this portal creation is to ensure that eligible voters are not disenfranchised; hence the electoral body are putting in more efforts to make the system better, safer and stronger.

As part of INEC’s efforts to ensure that all eligible Nigerian voters are not disenfranchised in the forthcoming 2019 Nigerian general elections, INEC has opened a new portal for confirmation of voter registration and PVCs collection.

This verification portal is part of the innovations that are currently being introduced by INEC to ensure a free and credible election come 2019.

As directed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) all voters are expected/required/encouraged to visit the following portals for confirmation of their Voters Registration and PVCs:

There are three (3) portals and they are listed below

For Voter Verification

  1. http://voters.inecnigeria.org
  2. http://voterreg.inecnigeria.org (use last 7 digits of VIN or DoB to confirm Reg with INEC)

For direction to collect PVC once ready

The issue of missing names of voters on election days has been a serious challenge of Nigeria and also the INEC body in the past, and the commission are really committed to ensuring this situation does not arise again. However, with the new innovation, the INEC says eligible voters can now verify their eligibility as well as polling units even before elections.
