Job Title: Driver
Locations: Abuja & Kano
Employment Type: Full-time
Scheduled Work Time: Monday – Friday (Flexibility, willing to travel and work weekends)
Reports To: Head Driver
Operational Contacts: HIV Lead, Program Management Team, Project Director
Slot: 7 Openings
Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Head Driver, the driver will transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations. Responsibilities include arriving at destinations on schedule, fulfilling administrative needs, researching and planning for delays, and maintaining the vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive at destinations on schedule
- Interact with clients professionally at all times
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
- Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
- Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
- Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups
- Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays
- Use navigation applications to determine the best route
- Any other tasks that the head driver may assign

Education and Experience:
- Standard Driver’s License
- Trade Test
Required Competencies:
- Exceptional knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Good customer service skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to work alone effectively with little or no supervision
- Physical strength
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance
- Expert in driving heavy and light vehicles
- Understanding of motor vehicle functionality
- Great professional driving skills
- Capability to work under high-pressure
