The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Special Public Works (SPW) recruitment of 774000 Nigerians is ongoing. The NDE has issued an official statement to all Nigerians who applied and where selected for the NDE Special Public Works (SPW) recruitment 2020. The recruitment was promised by the Nigerian Federal Government and it is set to commence on the 5th of January 2021 nationwide.

According to Festus Keyamo, President Muhammadu Buhari has finally approved the take off of the Special Public Works Programme. This programme will be engaging 774,000 unemployed itinerant Nigerians and as stated above it is scheduled to begin nationwide on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021.
All NDE state structures are already in top gear for the take-off ceremonies.
On the 29th of December 2020 in Kaduna State, the Commissioner @HafsatMohBaba visited the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Kaduna office to meet with the Acting Director General, Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo who was on a visit to assess the work done by the State Selection Committee on Special Public Works Programme(SPW).
When will the 774000 SPW start work?
The 774000 Special public workers recruited 1000 persons across the 774 LGAs in Nigeria and the beneficiaries will commence work in January, 2021.
