TEACH FOR NIGERIA FELLOWSHIP 2022/2023

The Teach For Nigeria Fellowship program is a 2 year full-time paid (N70, 000 per month) commitment that is designed to build a movement of leaders who will work towards eliminating educational inequity in Nigeria.

Through the two years Fellows receive ongoing support through a combination of in-person training sessions, leadership forums, as well as online training courses and resources. Additionally, the team will build partnerships with key public and private sector entities in order to develop pathways to accelerate alumni leadership in critical areas.

After the two-year program and as an Alumni, you will be supported to use these skills and knowledge to advocate for and lead educational reform in whichever path you choose.

WILL I BE TRAINED BEFORE I START THE TEACH FOR NIGERIA FELLOWSHIP?

Teach For Nigeria will work relentlessly to ensure that all Fellows have the knowledge and skills necessary to lead their students towards achievement. The Teach For Nigeria Fellowship begins with a six-week residential training program. Here, Fellows are exposed to curriculum, lesson planning, and classroom facilitation and student assessments among other modules, sessions and keys to successful teaching.

Teach for Nigeria Fellows are currently teaching in schools in Lagos, Ogun and Kaduna State. However, your exact placement states will be communicated during your interview process.

What are the Requirements and Qualifications to Apply for the TEACH FOR NIGERIA program?

Who can apply for this program? Teach for Nigeria is looking for promising future leaders who are vision driven and committed to transforming Nigeria through education. The body are looking for individuals with varied levels of experience including recent graduates, working youth, experienced professionals and entrepreneurs.

To be eligible, you must be a Nigerian citizen, hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and be younger than 35.
