The monthly basic salary will be of 350,000 Naira, with a lot of other benefits such as-

a) Health and Dental Insurance Plan for employee and dependents;

b) Thirty vacation days a year;

c) Transportation allowance (30.000 Naira per month);

d) Participation in Brazilian retirement plan (only for Brazilian citizens).

The Embassy of Brazil is offering the position of Technical Assistant to work at the Trade Bureau of the Embassy of Brazil in Abuja. Candidates of any citizenship are accepted. Non-Nigerian citizens must have proof of legal residency and authorization to work in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Duties and Responsibilities

The professional will be responsible for market research, gather commercial intelligence, and also to perform technical and administrative duties at the Embassy’s Trade Bureau. The regular work hours will amount to 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, from 08h00 a.m. to 05h00 p.m. (with a lunch break).
The candidates should have excellent knowledge of English and a desirable knowledge of Portuguese. Although not obligatory, please be aware that Portuguese skills will be taken into consideration during the selection process.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

a) legal photo ID (Brazilian citizens must present RG or Brazilian passport);

b) non-Nigerians must present proof of authorization to work in Nigeria;

c) twenty-one years of age or older;

d) certificate of university degree in the fields of economics, statistics, and related areas;

e) statement letter as a proof that the candidate is not employed by any Government;

f) references;

g) resumé;

h) only for Brazilian citizens: Brazilian voting Certificate and, for men, Military Draft;

i) proof of non-criminal record (police clearance, to be presented only if the candidate is selected for the offered position);

j) proof of being physically and mentally capable by a certified doctor (to be presented only if the candidate is selected for the offered position).

The application package can be electronically submitted to the email of the Embassy (brasemb.abuja@itamaraty.gov.br) handed in person, or by a third party, to the Selection Commitee at the Embassy of Brazil in Abuja, located at 324 Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District, Garki, during business hours.
