What is Skillnovation Programme?

The skillnovation programme is a game-changer, with the aim of empowering over three million micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across Nigeria. It’s all about equipping Nigerians with essential digital skills needed to thrive in the global economy.

During the grand unveiling at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on September 29, 2023, Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima described Skillnovation as a “transformative initiative.” He emphasized how it would usher in a new era of digital empowerment for Nigerians, making it a landmark moment in the country’s history.

Key Features of Skillnovation Programme: Eligible States

The Skillnovation Programme will establish 15 state-of-the-art ICT centers strategically positioned across Nigeria. These centers will serve as hubs for individuals and businesses to access cutting-edge digital training, resources, and support.

In the first phase, the program will roll out in Katsina, Anambra, Borno, Lagos, Oyo, and Kano. The second phase will include Delta, Kaduna, Ogun, Bauchi, Kwara, and Ekiti States.

Who Can Apply for Skillnovation Programme

One remarkable aspect of this initiative is its commitment to inclusivity. No demographic will be left behind.
