In a recent announcement, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed the cut-off marks for admissions into Nigerian universities for the 2023/24 academic session. The decision was made during the 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions and Awards held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
Minimum Cut-Off Mark for All Universities in Nigeria
According to Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, the minimum cut-off mark for university admissions has been set at 140 and above. This means that candidates who have gotten a score of 140 or higher in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB will be eligible to seek admission into universities.
Please Note: While JAMB sets the minimum cut-off mark, it is important to note that higher institutions in Nigeria have the autonomy to set their own admission requirements.
