This post contains the JAMB 2019 UTME FORM sale update and when it would commence. Please be informed that the sale of registration forms for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will no longer begin in December 2018 as earlier stated but it would be out for sale in January 2019.
The Head, Media and Information of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made this known to pressmen in an interview held at Lagos.
Initially, the plan was to commence the sales of the JAMB UTME form in December but it had to be re-adjusted due to the new reduction in the price of the form by the Federal Government with effect from January, 2019.
We will like to use this medium to notify the general public on this new directive, kindly ignore the information circulating round on social media that the sales of the JAMB form has commenced. It has not started and you will be duly notified when it commences on this site.
JAMB are not commencing sale of the forms until January 2019, and the sales of the form will be for a period of six weeks. All prospective candidates should kindly take note of this period in order not to fall prey to fraudsters.

NEW COST/PRICE OF JAMB FORM
The JAMB Board has promised to comply with the directive on reduction of the registration cost.
President Muhammadu Buhari last Wednesday approved reduction of the fee from N5,000 to N3,500. Take note of this new price.
To authenticate the price reduction, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, also announced the reduction after the Federal Executive Council meeting.
The cost of registration for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination charged by the National Examination Council was also reduced from N11,350 to N9,850.
Basic Education Certificate Examination, also charged by NECO, will also reduce from N5,500 to N4,000.
As stated by the minister the reduction would become effective from January 2019.
